Sound-waves is a music festival featuring kiwi artists Warren Maxwell and Wallace. This hypothetical festival draws its inspiration from the music itself with its soft and rhythmic guitar cords as well as coastal summer setting of the festival. Both artists touch on memory in their work, reflecting back on really specific moments. This sense of nostalgia was capured through the promotional motion graphic which take us back to what summer felt like as a child.
Touchpoints:
This project included multiple touch points to create a full user journey. Posters were created to appear on billboards and poster walls around the city, Motion Graphics appeared online and on social media, both directed users to the website which provided detailed information on both acts as well as the venue and finally led users to ticket purchase.
The Website:
The website brings the acts together. Warren’s butterflies and Wallace’s paper boat meet here in the illustrations and through the colour palette. Furthermore the notes of nostalgia that come through in both the music and motion graphics are reflected in the website through the scrapbook-like layering.
